Commercial Real Estate Forecast Competition Sponsored
by the Houston/Gulf Coast CCIM Chapter CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) is a professional real estate designation awarded to a person who has completed extensive educational courses on various real estate topics, fulfilled a production and resume grading procedure, and passed a rigorous comprehensive examination. These individuals are recognized as the best in the business, experts in the disciplines of commercial real estate brokerage, asset management, and valuation and investment analysis. There are currently only 6,800 CCIMs across North America and it is considered the “Ph.D.” of commercial real estate. Each
year, the Houston/Gulf Coast Chapter sponsors The Annual Forecast Competition which brings together respected
representatives in office, industrial, retail, land, and apartments, and
challenges them to forecast the market over the next year in their area of
expertise. The resulting Forecast Booklet is full of the best guesses of
the experts and is a prized resource to the 400 professionals who attend
the Competition. For the past two years, Ed Taravella, President of Taracorp has been one of the two competitors in the Land portion of the annual competition. Following are the PowerPoint presentations given at each of the last two competitions. In addition, we have also included a link to the videos shown as the introduction to Mr. Taravella’s presentation the last two years. We think you will find them enjoyable.
